Application administrators of the Holiday Planner can review this guide to understand what can be changed using the configuration options.
If the application has already been in use, your team made several considerations based on your user base's needs, which should be kept in mind while reviewing the admin side, as this determines how it has been set up.
The admin side
Head to Applications > Admin > Holiday Planner to review the tabs as outlined below.
Day types
In this tab, the different day types your user base can book are managed.
See our detailed guide for more information here.

General configuration
Here, configuration options can be changed by administrators.

- iCal notification: Send an iCal file for the user to import to external calendars (off by default)
- 'My team' definition: Determines who can see each other's holiday. More information here.
- Allow team members to view the full list of each other's requests: Within the users who can see each other's holidays, can they view their 'requests area' when clicking on their name in the 'My team' area? If 'no', clicking on their name opens their user profile.
- Display calendar days: Should calendar days appear in the booking creation pop-up (off by default)
- Number of entries per page in reports: How many users will appear per page in reports
Zones & groups
In this tab, the Zones & holiday groups are created and managed.
See our detailed guide for more information here.

Common Holidays
In this tab, public holidays can be set or updated per Zone.
More information in our guide here.

User Quota
This tab is where administrators can set or update the holiday allowance for each user.
This can be maintained over time to include increases/descreases based on company policy.
More information in our detailed guide here.

Bradford Factor
An optional report that can be enabled by an administrator from this tab.
More information in our guide here.

Set compulsory days
This administrator control can be used to set a particular day type for everyone in a group when it wouldn't usually be, e.g. if you have an 'overtime' day type or similar, you can book it for a whole group on a weekend day here rather than relying on the user to book it.

Recalculate User stats
This area can be used to troubleshoot user quotas appearing incorrectly.
More information in our guide here.
