The Follow feature allows users to mark Knowledge Base categories or guides as important to them and, subsequently, will receive notifications when changes are made. This article will detail how this works.
The format of notifications received when following will depend on each user's preferences; more information here.
Follows are set by the user and not something an administrator can control.
Following a KB Category
On the front end of the Knowledge Base, click into the category you wish to follow using the tabs on the left-hand side.
Click the 'Follow' button, and this will update with an on-screen message confirming this.
Now you are following the category; whenever a new article is added to it, or an existing one is edited, you will receive a notification.
Unfollow
Click the button again to stop following the category.
No further notifications will be received.
Following a KB guide
On the front end of the Knowledge Base, click into the guide you wish to follow using the tabs on the left-hand side.
Click the 'Follow' button, and this will update with an on-screen message confirming this.
Now you are following the guide; whenever a change is made to it, e.g. status change, edited, published, you will be notified.
Unfollow
Click the button again to stop following the guide.
No further notifications will be received.
