Auto-Detect File Type for Viewer
Documents
When checking out a document, changing the file type, and checking the new file type back in the intranet does not detect the new file type and tries to use the old file types viewer.
By changing the document name you can "re-jog" the intranet into detecting the new file type. It would be great (and frankly weird that it doesn't already) auto-detect the new file type instead of using the document name to determine.
You can view the support ticket I had at https://discover.claromentis.com/form...w/026232
Example: You upload "ABC.jpg". You checkout "ABC.jpg" and change it to "ABC.pdf". You checkin "ABC.pdf". The intranet will not load/preview the PDF because it's still trying to use the JPG viewer. If you change the document name to "ABC.pdf" (from "ABC.jpg") it will "re-jog" the intranet and the PDF is now viewable.
