Creating a holiday request

This article will cover the following

  1. How to request holiday 
  2. How to view your booked holiday & requests 
  3. How to cancel holiday  

This may be a useful article to share with your teams to guide them through this process. Please ensure as admins you have configured the settings in holiday planner to enable end users to successfully book holiday, here is a guide on this.

1. How to request holiday 

Users will need to navigate to the holiday planner application here: 

Here you will be asked to log details of the request:

Once submitted, your approving manager will recieve the request. 

 

2. How to view your booked holiday & requests 

If you want to take a look at your year as a whole or see the requests currently pending you can do so by clicking here: 

This will provide your year in full view:

You will see down the panel on the right your holiday quota including any carry over as well as your manager and substitute manager. 

If you would like to see your teams holiday, you can do so by clicking here: 

You can then see your teams booked holiday, you can filter by date and day types too. 

 

3. How to cancel holiday  

This can be achieved by clicking here

This will reveal all your bookings:

It is possible to cancel both booked holiday and requested holiday here. 

Please note: Holiday that was previously approved must be first cancelled in totality via a request the users manager completes in order to allow the same date(s) to be included in another request.
