Editors subscribing users to an existing Discussion
Discuss
When someone creates a Discussion, they can choose to subscribe new users.
We have a discussion board that with a list of participants that change regularly, as program participants change.
Our users will access the discussion on a page - they are not accustomed to using the Discuss app.
I want to subscribe users to an existing Discussion, so they are notified.
There are 2 workarounds, each with an issue:
1. Delete the Discussion and make a new one. This allows me to subscribe the right people, but it requires me to use a new Discussion.
2. Tell people to subscribe in the Discuss app. No matter how easy I make it for people, most users will not willingly subscribe to a Discussion.
This problem makes Discussions ineffective at accomplishing their intention, since the normal user will not actively check Discussions.
