Name of Badge searchable

Currently Badges are not searchable within the global search. We would like to see the name of the Badge be able to be searched.
We are planning to use the Badge feature as a way to indicate if someone is an Expert, if they have an accomplishment, or are a member of a committee. We would have multiple badges for each category, indicated by color.
It would be helpful if the badge name was searchable so someone could easily identify a user assigned a particular badge.
